                                             STRICTLY COUNTRY

STRICTLY COUNTRY. Was the name of the first band I played in. I was singing solo around the pubs in the Scottish borders, and called into a bar in Eyemouth, where a duo were playing. During their break we got talking and I got up and sang a couple of numbers. Ten minutes after that I'd been invited to join them, and Strictly Country the duo became Strictly Country the trio.
From left to right is Cliff Ward, Cliff played Bass and sang. Next to Cliff is Andrewina. She was without doubt one of the nicest people I've ever met. Andrewina was the band leader, she sang the main vocals and played 12 string acoustic. Sadly I lost touch with her some years ago, but if anybody out there has any information regarding her, I would love to hear from you. At my last contact she was living in Paisley and playing solo in the Paisley / Glasgow area under the name Misty Blue. Next in line is me, and last but not least is Colin Hood. Colin played Lead guitar, and played it well.

The Strictly Country album was actually recorded for some demo tracks, it took a couple of hours to record and mix eleven tracks and cost £60, which I think was a bargain.
